Monique Sigler, LMFT

With 17+ years in mental health and wellness, Monique serves the Central Coast community with both holistic and traditional therapeutic offerings to meet you where you are in life.

A deeply compassionate therapist, Monique’s practice serves youth and adults across all phases of life with a special focus on women’s mental health.

Monique’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, integrative, and generous. Rooted in culturally sensitive and evidence based practices, Monique is an experienced trauma therapist and yoga instructor who understands the connection between your emotions, thoughts, and body sensations to reveal how they impact your mental and emotional health.  Her holistic approach blends mind-body techniques with traditional psychotherapy to bring more balance and peace into your everyday life.

 

Together, you'll develop a deeper connection with yourself and learn alternative ways of thinking with a focus on mindfulness and self-compassion.

A certified maternal and perinatal mental health therapist, Monique would be honored to support you throughout your pregnancy, transition to motherhood, and postpartum journey.

As a Clinical supervisor and therapist, Monique leads a team of skilled and supportive therapists who will help you safely navigate your wellness journey. Her clinical experience also includes social work with foster youth and adoptive families.  Beyond leading a team of dedicated therapists, you’ll find Monique teaching Psychology & Child Development students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Monique received her bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and went onto pursue a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Santa Barbara.

In her free time Monique, enjoys hiking Avila Ridge & Pismo preserve and gardening, along with practicing yoga and surfing up and down the Central Coast.

Monique holds a deep respect and love for nature and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, CJ, and two Australian shepherds, Ginger and Maverick.

 

Experiencing new adventures is important to Monique along with travel,  cooking,  and exercising creativity.

Clarissa Kugler, LMFT

Clarissa was born and raised on California’s central coast and feels privileged to serve the community of San Luis Obispo County. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clarissa is committed to providing compassionate and empathetic care to support her client's journeys towards a greater sense of inner peace, happiness, and balance despite life's challenges.


Clarissa's experience includes working with individuals of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, coping with stress from work or school, relationship issues, life transitions, and  grief and loss 

Clarissa's approach to therapy includes a client centered style,  focused on creating a safe, collaborative, and nurturing environment that allows for vulnerability and supports emotional healing. Clarissa is skilled in utilizing a variety of evidenced based practices including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
 
Clarissa graduated CalPoly SLO with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and later completed her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling in San Diego. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking with her dogs, cooking, and horseback riding.

Serena Andrews, AMFT
